Cancellation & refunds

Paid subscriptions are unavailable and no payments are collected. This policy explains cancellation and refunds when paid subscriptions become available.

Cancel a subscription

For the planned monthly subscription, cancellation will stop future renewals and take effect at the end of the current paid period. Cancelling renewal and requesting a refund are separate actions.

After the paid period, your account will become free. Your library, saved results and export access will remain available; remaining paid credits will expire. Deleting a paid account will also stop future subscription billing.

Paddle is the planned seller. When billing opens, cancellation will be available through its customer portal, linked from the subscription confirmation email, or Paddle buyer support. You can also email contact@mapofideas.com for help. We aim to respond within two business days; this is a support target, not a guaranteed response time or service-level agreement.

Request a refund or exercise withdrawal rights

Once paid subscriptions are available, contact us or use the refund option at Paddle buyer support. Include your purchase email, transaction reference if available, and what you want to request. Do not send payment-card details.

We do not offer an additional unconditional money-back guarantee. Subscription payments are refundable where required by applicable law or under Paddle’s refund policy, including any discretionary refund Paddle approves. Cancelling a subscription does not by itself entitle you to a refund.

Consumers in the EU/EEA generally have 14 days to withdraw from an online service contract without giving a reason. Other countries may provide their own withdrawal rights. The applicable rules, including any lawful conditions for starting a service during that period, take priority over this policy.

Using an AI feature does not by itself mean you have waived a statutory right. Any legally required information and express consent must be handled correctly before the service begins.

Paddle’s refund policy describes its request process and applicable country-specific terms. Any more protective mandatory rights remain available.

If the service does not work as promised

Contact us with a description of the problem and the relevant job or transaction reference. We will investigate. Your rights concerning a service that is not supplied or does not conform to the contract remain unaffected, including correction, a price reduction or a refund where the law provides for them.

Analysis credits are handled separately

Failed or unusable analyses return the credits held for that job. A successful job uses no more than the maximum you approved, and the unused hold is released. This is a correction to your in-app allowance, separate from a refund of a subscription payment.
